About This Course
The Music Production course is designed to equip our students with in depth knowledge of industry standard DAW (digital audio workstation), and teach them how to compose their own music in only 10 months!

Learn all the steps of Music Production
From the conception of the first idea, to the release of the finished track.
During the Music Production course, you will learn about all the different steps that we take, to produce a music composition.
From getting familiar with the DAW environment and learning its key functions, to recording and editing your first musical ideas, to creating the orchestration and organising the structure of your music composition, to recording live instruments and using advanced audio editing techniques to correct them, to using software synthesizers to create your own beats, sounds and sound effects, to mixing your song in order to achieve a balanced mix, to creating the final Master and getting your track ready for release.
Even at early stages, you will learn everything you need to know, to get you started with computer music composition right away.

Course Structure
You will start from learning important terminology and principles in Music Technology and build a solid foundation and understanding of the DAW environment.
Get familiar with working in the DAW environment and learn all different navigation and editing functions of the program.
Learn how to set up all different parameters in the DAW environment to record.
Learn about the different types of Midi controllers that are available in the market, find out which types are suitable for you and how to set up and use them in the DAW.
Through introductory music theory and harmony lessons, you learn how to create a successful arrangement and musical structure that incorporates beat, melodies, harmony and bass. This knowledge is applicable to any musical style.
Learn how to record and program your midi arrangements by using the various Midi recording techniques and the Midi editors (Piano Roll and Step Sequencer).
Learn the different types of sound synthesis techniques and use the built-in software synthesizers of the DAW to create your own beats, sounds and sound FX.
Learn advanced audio editing techniques, such as Flex pitch / time, comping and time stretching, to be able to fix problematic recordings, or make any audio material to conform to the tempo of your musical composition.
Learn how to create loop-based music and explore techniques to create and perform your music live.
Learn basic mixing and mastering techniques that will help you create a balanced mix, finalize your tracks and prepare them for distribution
At the end of the course students will create a musical composition in the style of their choice.

Music Production lessons and presentations take place in the classroom.

All students have to their disposal their personal iMac with the latest software, Midi controller keyboard, controller pad, an audio interface, pair of headphones and a microphone.
Studio Booths
Two acoustically optimized and soundproofed studio booths, are available to our students for individual work on music production, editing, software mixing, mastering or even recording tasks.

Our two studio booths are fully equipped with professional studio hardware and with a vast music software library for music production, editing, mixing and mastering.

Gain all the technical skills to build and operate your own home studio
- Nowadays, with the rise of self-published music online, artists need to have a wide range of musical and technical skills and it is common for the artist to create his/her own home studio and work from home.
- The course is designed for the student who wants to be self-dependent. In addition to learning a wide range of music production skills, you will get support and advice on how to build your home studio and which equipment (software and hardware) are best suited to your needs.
Learn to turn simple musical ideas into finished tracks
- The aim of the course is to stimulate creativity and give our students the ability to express their musical ideas and turn them into finished tracks.
- By the end of the course, our students will have the knowledge to record, compose, edit, mix and master their own music in the musical style of their choice.

- Advanced audio editing, to be able to fix timing and pitch errors of a recording, or to manipulate any audio material
- Creating and performing loop-based music with Live Loops
- Basic Mixing and Mastering techniques to finalise their musical composition and prepare their song for release
Music production
Employment Prospects
By completing this course, our students can work towards a career as music producers in a production house (for example in the fields of music production, video games, radio, television / film music, voiceover or advertising etc.), or can built their own home studio and work as freelance music producers for other artists, or on their own music projects.
